The Qualcomm Snapdragon 895 is expected to launch in the second in the second half of this year. Similarly, Samsung is also gearing up for the launch of its own next gen chip, the Exynos 2200, with a tipster revealing the upcoming flagship processor’s codename.

For those unaware, the Exyno 2200 is an upcoming chipset from the South Korean tech giant that will arrive with an AMD Radeon GPU, which reportedly outperforms the Apple A14 SoC in graphics. According to a Weibo post, a Chinese microblogging website, from @i冰宇宙 (IceUniverse) the Exynos 2200 is codenamed “Pamir.” This chip is expected to be built on a 4nm process and will arrive with Team Red’s RDNA 2 architecture graphics codenamed “Voyager.”

Notably, the RDNA 2 from AMD is the same architecture which is also used in current gen gaming consoles like the Xbox Series X and the PlayStation 5. Its latest lineup of Radeon RX 6000 series of graphics card also feature this technology as well. In other words, Samsung might have a competitive edge in terms of graphical performance with the new Exynos 2200 on its flagship smartphones. Previously, we had reported on Qualcomm launching the new Snapdragon 800 series SoC in early December 2021.https://googleads.g.doubleclick.net/pagead/ads?client=ca-pub-1273706541600169&output=html&h=300&slotname=7772003722&adk=340239282&adf=3742254565&pi=t.ma~as.7772003722&w=360&lmt=1626258906&rafmt=1&psa=1&format=360×300&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.gizmochina.com%2F2021%2F07%2F14%2Fsamsung-exynos-2200-codename-reveal-sd895-h2-2021%2F&flash=0&fwr=1&fwrattr=true&rpe=1&resp_fmts=3&sfro=1&wgl=1&adsid=ChAI8Ja6hwYQpcWW1ZzwydE0EjkAq7uOvCSK4yi2zV7eBmXS41pGXK_2T2KLz1SLBnZKpgB3C16ns0ntdte22zFL267_Li-isHoqdrs&uach=WyJBbmRyb2lkIiwiOC4xLjAiLCIiLCJSZWRtaSA1QSIsIjkxLjAuNDQ3Mi4xMjAiLFtdLG51bGwsbnVsbCxudWxsXQ..&dt=1626258648794&bpp=63&bdt=7731&idt=1593&shv=r20210708&ptt=9&saldr=aa&abxe=1&cookie=ID%3Df0820a17a4b39082-227e75b554ca0064%3AT%3D1626184080%3ART%3D1626184080%3AS%3DALNI_MYO-svNT2m694HXZRLePr6atJInkA&prev_fmts=360×300%2C0x0&nras=1&correlator=2374584478442&rume=1&frm=20&pv=1&ga_vid=1732402730.1623990573&ga_sid=1626258650&ga_hid=1715124052&ga_fc=0&u_tz=330&u_his=5&u_java=0&u_h=640&u_w=360&u_ah=640&u_aw=360&u_cd=24&u_nplug=0&u_nmime=0&adx=0&ady=1658&biw=360&bih=559&scr_x=0&scr_y=0&eid=42530671%2C31061691%2C31061692&oid=3&psts=AGkb-H95-dqBQ7ahZu4_jov6YGcj70npbaHXTMBX3yj2c9chcXK9uqU705q09vNTCZHRenn4S4bD2WhBXZc&pvsid=134340756083268&pem=601&ref=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.gizmochina.com%2Fcategory%2Fnews%2F&eae=0&fc=896&brdim=0%2C0%2C0%2C0%2C360%2C0%2C360%2C559%2C360%2C559&vis=1&rsz=%7C%7CeEbr%7C&abl=CS&pfx=0&fu=128&bc=31&ifi=2&uci=a!2&btvi=1&fsb=1&xpc=x91SMfCO1v&p=https%3A//www.gizmochina.com&dtd=M
